INSURANCE
POLICIES
If you belong to a traditional insurance plan we can assist you by filing your
insurance claim. Traditional insurance is typically one in which you can choose
any dentist you desire. Please bring your insurance book with you to your
appointment and we will look at your insurance with you and discuss your
benefits to the best of our ability. Your dental insurance is based on a
contract between you, your employer, and the insurance company. While we will
attempt to estimate your dental benefits to the best of our ability, this is an
estimate ONLY, and should not be depended on as the final decision. Should
questions arise, it is best to contact your insurance company or employer
personally.
DENTAL FEES AND INSURANCE FEE SCHEDULES
All fees reflect the level of Time, Care, Skill, and Judgment, that it takes to
perform services the best that they can be done. Many plans tell participants
they will be covered up to 80% or up to 100% but do not clearly specify plan fee
schedule allowances, annual maximums or limitations. Insurance companies do NOT
cover all dental services. Due to the rapid change in dentistry and the nature
of such change we cannot sign contracts with insurance carriers that limit your
choices or types of care which we provide. If we are not listed in your
company’s network of providers, check with your dental plan’s administrator.
Many plans allow you to go out of network with almost equal reimbursement.
OUR CONTRACT WITH THE PATIENT
The key to any relationship is trust. This is also true of relationship between
a patient and their dentist. I have chosen NOT to participate or contract with
many fixed fee delivery systems, that dictate that I must cut corners to
properly treat patients. Short cuts obviously reflect in the quality of the
level of care that is received.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Your dental records are confidential information and will not be transferred to
another dentist or party without your written consent. Our office complies with
all of the government mandated HIPPA regulations.
TENN CARE
I do participate in the Tenn Care plan at the present time. The state will only
cover those under age 21 for dental care.
