Dear current or future patients: I belong to a dedicated group of dentists in the Mid-South affiliated with the Seattle Study Club. My practice has long been patient-focused, but this study club puts me into closer contact with like-minded professionals. At this time, I want to focus your attention on Interdisciplinary Dentistry. Today, many are shifting towards a desire for more comprehensive and preventive care. I hope to see growing demands of patients for longevity and health rather than repair and ‘patch-work’ dentistry. Lifelong treatment, is more challenging for me as a practitioner. What does true interdisciplinary dentistry mean? It means that, we need to understand the treatment options of all dental disciplines; - we need to communicate between the various disciplines. This is the only way that your treatment can result in the best possible outcome. Anything else is multidisciplinary dentistry, and ends in a compromise for you the patient. Many of you may not have the financial resources to have the best treatment possible, which is interdisciplinary. I will not dismiss the patient who desires less than complete care; but I will try to help you with options that you may not be aware of. I am a life-long learner in many disciplines through my association with The Academy of General Dentistry. I will guide you: • Through many clinical treatment options for various problems in child, adolescent, teen, or adult orthodontics • To improve substantially the periodontal situation of adult patients during treatment • How to solve your questions about cosmetic issues • How to treat existing dental needs—and make the treatment last Dr. Bell is one of the most experienced practitioners when it comes to interdisciplinary dentistry and communication between other specialists and YOU the patient. I personally suggest for you to take your needs to a higher level together as a team with my dental team. To grow together in a Doctor-Patient relationship.
